Airsoft Gas Pistols come in many models and styles but, internally they all operate technically the same way. A airsoft gas pistol may be a non blowback style, NBB or a GBB, Gas blow back style. The gas blow back models are far more popular due to the realistic slide action . Because of the powerful blowback action of the slide with each shot fired it is imperative to keep the slide rails and other moving parts well lubricated and in good repair. This is especially important for any airsoft GBB's with a full metal slide. Improper lubrication or lack of, can cause severe damage to the slide rails and decrease performance and slide damage will occur.
