Airsoft Guns that use the version 2 mechbox include the following: SR-16, XM177e2, M733, M4-S, G3A3, G3A4, G3 SG-1, MC-51, G3 SAS, MP5A4, MP5A5, MP5SD5, MP5SD6, MP5RAS, MP5-J, Scar-L and H and more. There are several variations and evolutions of the version 2 gear box build available, but the core design is the same. Make sure you know which mechbox-gearbox style your airsoft gun or AEG uses before you attempt to repair it. Many of the parts will cross over between the mechbox variations but some internal gearbox parts are more model specific. Air nozzles, tappet plates, and selector plates are just a few of the airsoft parts that are unique to the version 2 series gearbox.

The version two, standard design gear box can easily be upgraded to achieve better performance, accuracy and_or a higher FPS. Depending on your "custom engineered design" you may need to replace some of the internal or external stock airsoft gun components with after market upgrade parts to attain a higher level of durability in your design.
